I have decided to research images of campfires and people sitting round campfires so that I can gain a knowledge of how people sit, what they sit on, what their surroundings are, how the fire looks and what effect the light from the fire creates.
And I also looked at images of forests to get an idea of tree layering, distance, atmosphere and how it may look at night time.
These gave me a pretty good idea, next I'm going to have a look at lodges/ cabins to know what mine will look like, and old family portraits.
